About these terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the Kilo app for iPhone, its widgets and Live Activities, Kilo Pro, and this website. Kilo is provided by Martin Mirchevski, an independent developer based in Bulgaria (“we”, “us”).
Kilo is licensed to you through the App Store under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). These Terms add to the Apple EULA. If the two conflict, the Apple EULA governs your licence to use the app.
By downloading or using Kilo, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Kilo.
What Kilo does
Kilo shows the usage limits, reset times, balances and estimates of the AI coding tools you connect, on your iPhone. It reads this information from each provider using the connection you set up.
Kilo is an independent app. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub, Cursor, Z.ai, OpenRouter or any other provider. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Your provider accounts
- Only connect accounts that you own or are authorised to use.
- Your use of each provider’s service stays subject to that provider’s terms. You’re responsible for making sure the way you use the provider, including the connection method you choose in Kilo, complies with them.
- Several integrations rely on interfaces that providers don’t officially document. Providers can change or withdraw them at any time, which can stop an integration from working or cause it to show incomplete information. Integrations marked Beta are especially likely to change.
- You’re responsible for keeping your iPhone and your credentials secure. You can remove a tool or erase all of Kilo’s data at any time in Settings.
Estimates and accuracy
Readings come from the providers and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Widgets and background refresh run within limits set by iOS, so what you see may not be current. Kilo shows when each reading was last updated.
Forecasts, burn-rate warnings, capacity levels and suggestions are estimates based on past readings. They aren’t guarantees of how much usage you have left. Kilo doesn’t control your limits with any provider, and the provider’s own account pages are the authoritative source. Don’t rely on Kilo alone where running out of an allowance could cause you loss.
Kilo Pro and purchases
- Kilo is free to download. Kilo Pro unlocks additional features through in-app purchases: an automatically renewing subscription, billed yearly or monthly, or a one-time lifetime purchase, including a limited Founder Lifetime offer.
- All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. The price, currency and any taxes are shown in the App Store before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. If you cancel, Kilo Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Free trials. If a free trial is offered, the subscription starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a different Kilo Pro option.
- Lifetime purchases are a one-time payment that unlocks Kilo Pro for as long as we offer and support Kilo. “Lifetime” refers to the life of the product, not a guaranteed period.
- To restore purchases on a new or reset device, use Restore Purchases in Kilo while signed in with the same Apple Account.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies, for example through reportaproblem.apple.com. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal that applies to App Store purchases.
- We may change prices for new purchases. Apple tells existing subscribers about price increases in advance and, where required, asks for their consent.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Kilo to access any account without authorisation;
- use Kilo in a way that overloads, disrupts or interferes with a provider’s service, or to get around a provider’s limits;
- copy, modify or reverse engineer Kilo, except where the law allows it; or
- use Kilo for anything unlawful.
Privacy
Kilo works on your device and doesn’t send your data to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what the app stores, what it sends to providers, and your rights.
Ownership
Kilo, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to us. Your right to use the app comes from the licence in the Apple EULA. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Kilo without any obligation to you.
Changes to Kilo
We work to keep Kilo useful and reliable, and we may add, change or remove features over time. Providers may also change their services in ways that affect Kilo. If a change significantly reduces something you paid for, you may be entitled to remedies under applicable consumer law.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, Kilo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties beyond those that the law requires. We don’t promise that Kilo will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every provider or account.
Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection law, including your statutory rights if Kilo isn’t as described or doesn’t work as it should.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or costs, charges or account actions resulting from your use of a provider’s service. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Kilo is limited to the amount you paid for Kilo in the 12 months before the claim.
These limits don’t apply to liability that can’t be limited or excluded by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Kilo at any time by deleting it. Cancelling a subscription is done through your Apple Account, as described above. We may end your right to use Kilo if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as the disclaimer and limitation of liability, survive the end of these Terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also point it out on this website or in the app. By continuing to use Kilo after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.
